- Enhances students’ understanding and appreciation of the development of contemporary Philippine art by
introducing them to our National Artists and Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan awardees whose works have laid the foundation, set the standard, and provided inspiration for our current generation of artists in the regions - Provides a rich variety of creative activities that will develop the students’ skills in research, internet navigation, media literacy, team-building, cooperative learning, integration, and other competencies that are required for success in the 21st century while further honing their knowledge-retention, critical thinking, and presentation abilities
- Encourages students to discover their creative potential and to explore their local communities for materials and resources that can be utilized in their own artistic productions and performances, thereby contributing to the enrichment of art and culture in their own regions with their original contemporary work Accommodates students’ individual learning styles by discussing academic concepts within a highly readable text, illustrating lessons with colorful visuals, and demonstrating ideas and tasks through online videos and other electronic teaching-learning aids
- Complies with the Department of Education’s curriculum goals and requirements for the K to 12 program
