Accounts Payable Associate

The incumbent is responsible for the accurate and timely recognition and processing of payables to ensure good credit standing to internal and external suppliers.

  • Observes accounting policies in recording of financial transactions to provide reports that comply with the reportorial requirements of the Management and the government.
  • Validates transactions and checks compliance with the policy on authorization and completeness of attachment of all requests for payment.
  • Prepares AP vouchers and AP credit memos.
  • Ensures compliance with withholding tax requires of BIR.
  • Handles account inquiries of vendors and sales agents.
  • Prepares and issues tax certificates to vendors.
  • Reconciles statements and transactions and verifies accounts.
  • Maintains subsidiary ledgers of vendors.
  • Ensures that expenses/payables are charged to the right account/s and cost center/s by analyzing the request for payment and supporting documents.
  • Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy, preferably with CPA license.
  • Must have at least 1 year of work experience in accounts payable and general accounting.
  • Must be knowledgeable with Generally Accepted Accounting Principle.
  • Must be adept with various accounting procedures and policies.
  • Detail-oriented and data entry skills.
  • With good time management and analytical skills.
  • With good interpersonal skills.
